Senior WordPress Developer

We are now looking for a new Senior WordPress Developer to join our technology team that builds, maintains and develops user-friendly WordPress and HubSpot CMS websites.

While working as part of our team and in close collaboration with other developers, designers and project managers you have the skills needed to develop entire websites from scratch. As an experienced developer, you can take responsibility of the development work of entire projects and delegate work to more junior developers, supporting them when necessary.

You should have the skills to define project requirements and accurately estimate the time needed to complete them. You take a proactive approach to projects already in the planning phase. We also value critical thinking and a sense of integrity, so you can and should bring your own views to the table.

At Paper Planes, you’ll get to work in a relaxed environment, implementing online services for a nice and diverse range of clients. Your job description will initially focus on front-end coding, but the tasks will, of course, be adapted to your skills and interests – for example, focusing more on whole new sites or on the development of existing sites.

Detailed information about the role

You can handle the following languages and technologies:

– HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL
– Command line tools and Git version control
– Strong experience in WordPress theme development
– Gulp, Composer, npm, Docker, WP-CLI
– Vue.js and Gutenberg skills
– Accessibility and performance tuning skills
– Linux and Nginx knowledge

You will get extra points for your efforts in:

– React.js knowledge and crafting native Gutenberg blocks
– HubSpot CMS skills.

We offer you:

  • The opportunity to implement interesting and measurable projects for very different clients, united by a desire to grow.
  • Knowledgeable colleagues who are fun to work with.
  • A relaxed workplace with a low hierarchy where you can always bring your ideas to the table.
  • Opportunities for advancement as your skills and our company grow.
  • The opportunity to learn new things, as we focus on the individual development of our employees.
  • The opportunity to choose the working methods that best nurture your creativity and enjoyment.
